The Tootle Pip is the mystical clock tower measuring both time and the danger of discovery of the Goblin Market. At the stroke of thirteen the safe haven dissolves back into the veil. Any courtesan of the court caught in the mortal world is abandoned. Turned to stone by the next rising sun.
